"Its our infinite passion that drives us to live our vision which is to become a group of concept restaurants, a community of passionate leaders and global diners experiencing fully the art of intercultural concept dining though love and respect of our modern cuisine and services." -Melissa Concha Arandia Zapanta
Opened in December 2016, Kaizen Davao was put up by couple Dana and Melissa Zapanta, who wanted to introduce the Yokocho dining concept to Davao City.
Yokocho is a street dining culture common in Japanese cities. Chef Dana who worked for three years in Japan describes the concept as modern, casual, laidback and a place that celebrates life.
Kaizen Davao's dishes is a fusion of Japanese inspired cuisine combining the best of local and western elements. Proof of this culinary flair is their conceptual line of rolls particularly their best-seller Du30 Roll.
In March 2018, the couple opened their newest Kaizen resto in Siargao. They brought in a unique Japanese Island Dining concept, which combines the Yokocho dining experience and the idyllic island ambiance of Siargao.
